A British man is the first to be healed from AIDS


Tony, 44 years old, is the first man to be healed from HIV.

The British received a bone medulla with genetic mutation by means of a transplant, what turns the activity hard to be repeated. The medulla protected him from any virus effect.

The HIV cure is studied from years, the investments are extremely high, mainly in Europe, where still has the biggest number of cases. But nothing brought an absolute effect.

Some tests did the remotion of HIV, but, after two years, the baby that was part of the experiment presented symptoms, and was pointed that the virus had returned.
